Television
I had the opportunity to work on the Kansas City
episode of the All Star BBQ Showdown.
After the
shoot, we had all the bbq you could want!
A series of commercials are now airing for Dr.
Prabu
Raman, owner of The Raman Center for
Advanced
Dentistry. It was fun working with his clients doing
their makeup and hair for the commercial
shoot.
Celebrities
+ Artists
I'm a football fan, so you know I was very excited to
be the makeup artist working with Mike Ditka
for his
speaking engagement at the 2005 APICS
Conference. Another football note: Jody
Jackson,
FOX sports reporter contacted me to do her makeup
for
the sideline taping of "Maximum Cardinals"
pre-
game
show by Alltel at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas
City.
Other great clients I had the opportunity to work
with include:
- Christy Carlson Ramano
- Stuck on Broadway
- The Commotions
Print
A reporter working on a holiday fashion story
contacted me
for my advice on what would be hot for the Holiday
Party season. I was glad to give my take on trends
which were published in the October issue of GS
Magazine.
Video
Recently, I've had the chance to work as makeup
artist + hair stylist on several health care industry
campaigns. From these shoots, I've met some very
inspiring people.

"The
Adventures of Roller Girl" wins 5 Omni Awards in 2005 |
|
|
|
What
happens when you mix a photographer
with a costume designer + fashion stylist,
Ludacris videos and old rollerskating
movies? You get "The Adventures of Roller
Girl". A self promotional project concepted and
produced between photographer, Matt Nichols and
myself.
This project began as a 1 shot
shoot but quickly turned into a 2-day, 12 shot shoot.
Matt and I started brainstorming and we couldn't
contain all of the ideas to just 1 shot, so we went
with it! I'm so glad we did because we won 5 Omni
Awards!
I
designed and produced the costumes for each
character. I knew we were going to be
using "oversized" props inspired by Ludacris videos,
so I went the opposite direction with the costumes.
I made them "undersized". My inspiration for the
fabrics and designs came from old rollerskating
movies and Ludacris's humor in his videos.
When
we finished the shoot, the images were
turned over to a graphic designer who added her
own flair to the project. There was definitely an ebb
& flow to this project and the talented team it took
to make it all happen.
I wanted to say thank you again to the crew: Matt
Nichols-Photographer, Marina Proctor-
Makeup Artist, Cherie Peltier-Graphic
Designer, Brent Smith-Tatoo Illustration, Scott
McBurney-Industrial Designer, Models: Jade
Dailey, Zach
Shepard, Carmen P., and Kyle Delong
Also
special thanks to RC Sports, Inc., Prestige Litho,
Winnwood Skate Center, Skate World, I & I Agency,
Hoffman International and Seven Management.
