Volunteer in the Spotlight…Cristy Guy
Students in the Kansas City area are being given the chance to find
out what a career as a Fashion Stylist and Makeup Artist is all about when they meet Cristy Guy, one of A.C.E.’s outstanding
volunteers. Cristy has spoken at several different schools in the metro area, including the Urban Community Leaderhip Academy
and Grandview High School. She has also been asked to become a mentor for the 2003-2004 school year.

Fashion styling presentations give students at the Urban
Community
Leadership Academy (UCLA) in Kansas City, MO new visions for their futures
Once again the Alliance of Community Educators invited Cristy to a special career
day at UCLA. She presented to two groups of seventh, eighth and ninth graders about careers in fashion styling and makeup
artistry. She has also been invited to be a volunteer mentor at the charter school for the upcoming 2003-2004 school
year.
